What We
Believe

The Trinity

We believe in one GOD, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Matthew 28:19, Genesis 1:26

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.

Luke 1:26-38, Hebrews 4:14-16.

The Word of God

We believe the Scriptures, the 66 books containing both of the old and new testaments, to be verbally inspired of God and inerrant in the original writings and that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and life.

II Peter 1:21

Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature.  Isaiah 53:6, Romans 5:12-21

Salvation through Christ's Death and Resurrection

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood.

Romans 5:9; 2 Corinthians 5:21

We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us as High priest and Advocate.  I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 1:9; I John 2:1

We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.

John 3:5,6; John 1:12

The Last Things

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting felicity of the saved, and the everlasting conscious suffering of the lost.  John 6:39-40; I Corinthians 15:22-24; Revelation 20:12-15

The Lord's Supper

We believe that the Lord’s Supper is a provision of the bread and the cup representing Christ’s broken body and shed blood partaken of by believers assembled for that purpose in commemoration of the death of their Lord.

I Corinthians 11:23-24

Baptism

We believe that Christian Baptism is the immersion in water of a believer in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit showing forth in a solemn and beautiful emblem our union with the crucified, buried and risen Savior.  Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3-5
